Zoom Webinars

If you are new to Zoom, here’s how to get started.

Accessing your Zoom webinar

You’ll be sent a link and passcode to access the webinar you have registered for at least 24 hours before the start of the webinar. If you haven’t seen this email come through, please check your junk mail / spam folder in case it is there. If you are still not able to find the link, please contact the event organiser from your original confirmation email.

How to join a Zoom webinar

You can join the Zoom webinar via your computer, tablet or mobile device. If you’ve never used Zoom before, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom first.

We recommend allowing a little time before the webinar starts to get this set up. You don’t need to create an account, just join by clicking the link you’ll be sent and installing Zoom.

Download in advance

If you want to download Zoom before the webinar, visit the Zoom Download Center here. You can also join a Zoom test meeting here, to check how Zoom works for you.

Zoom etiquette

When you first access the Zoom webinar, you’ll be in a virtual waiting room. One of our webinar hosts will admit you when the webinar is starting.

Everyone will be automatically muted when joining the meeting. We appreciate it if you can keep yourself on mute, unless you’d like to ask a question. You are welcome to keep your camera on or off, as you prefer.

If you have any technical issues or questions during the webinar, please use the chat function to let us know. There’ll be opportunities to ask questions relating to the webinar topic during the presentation and your webinar host will let you know how questions will work for your session.

If you need to leave the Zoom webinar at any time, please feel free to do so. There’s no need to let your hosts know.
