Community Nursery
Our community nursery cultivates and sells over 30 species of native plants, with a focus on plants that naturally grow in stream or wetland environments. Our plants are raised from seeds that we’ve collected from the bush and reserves in West Auckland. This means they are eco-sourced, which makes them ideal for local replanting.
We serve a wide range of community groups, businesses and individuals who want to improve native biodiversity in their gardens, bush and ecological restoration initiatives. If you’d like some advice, we can recommend plants to suit your site.
How to buy plants
Plants are available from the EcoMatters Nursery Online via click and collect.
Our range includes popular choices like the whau, pūriri, harakeke, and a variety of sedges and other plants.
