Native Plant Nursery

Mondays and Thursdays 10am-12pm
We’re growing thousands of plants for local restoration and community projects. Help pot and care for baby plants and learn about our native plants along the way. Wear clothing suitable for outdoors. Hope Garden Volunteering
8 Riverbank Road, New Lynn
Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am-2pm
Join us to learn about regenerative practices, while helping to make Hope Community Garden in New Lynn a flourishing community space. We’ll be preparing the garden beds, tending to seedlings, planting and putting the systems in place to make it a beautiful and inspiring space for learning, sharing and recreation opportunities. Resource Recovery and Recycling at the Depot

Our Bike Hubs offer free advice for people wanting to learn more about cycling. We recondition unwanted bikes and offer them to the community at affordable prices. We would love your help if you have an interest in bikes. For more info, email bikehub@ecomatters.org.nz.
Organic Gardening Sessions
1 Olympic Place, New Lynn
Fridays 11am-2pm
Help out and get skilled-up in organic gardening. We’ll be pruning, planting wildflower and bee gardens, and building up soil, composting, mulching, weeding and looking after paths and lawns. Bring gloves, sturdy shoes or gumboots and a raincoat or hat, and sharp secateurs if you have a pair. RSVP to meg@ecomatters.org.nz.
