Have your say on Shoreline Adaptation Plans

About this Event

Shoreline Adaptation Plans (SAPs) will support the management of Auckland Council-owned coastal land and assets (like parks, roads, pipes and facilities) which are located in coastal areas, over the next 100 years. 

These plans will help Auckland Council plan how to respond to coastal hazards and flooding including the effects of climate change, like sea level rise. 

Come along to this community consultation event to let Auckland Council know what you value about our coasts. From 6.30pm, join the SAP team to look at maps, ask questions, and share your thoughts. There will be a presentation about SAPs at 7pm.  No need to register.

Auckland Council would like to know:

• What do you do at the coast? 
• Why is this shoreline area important to you? 
• What beaches do you visit? Why? 
• What do you know about your shorelines that you want us to consider?

Consultation on the Manukau North, Manukau East and Pahurehure Inlet SAPs is open from 23 June to 7 August.
