About this Event
Come along to celebrate Matariki by putting native plants in the ground along the Waitahurangi Awa, and removing pest plants.
The native plants will help to add stability to the stream banks, provide a healthy habitat for our native birds and critters, and help the stream function better in drought or heavy rain.
We’ll be meeting at the bridge opposite Suburbs Rugby Club, 130 Portage Road, New Lynn.
Gumboots or closed-toe, sturdy footwear is essential. Please wear old clothes (long sleeves and pants), and bring gardening gloves if you have any (some will be provided).
