Matariki Planting in New Lynn

About this Event

Mānawatia a Matariki! Celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, by taking action for te taiao (our natural environment) and helping to transform the Waitahurangi Awa. We’ll be putting native plants into the ground on the banks of the Waitahurangi Awa at Olympic Park, so we can bring it one step closer to becoming a thriving habitat for native birds and fish.

You’ll need to wear gumboots or sturdy closed shoes. Please bring a rain jacket and gardening gloves if you have any. Kids must be accompanied by supervising adults.
