Did you know we have community gardens?

Our EcoHub is surrounded by beautiful organic, chemical-free community gardens run by volunteers and staff.

Gardening as part of a community is a great way connect with others while learning tips and techniques for growing amazing organic vegetables and fruit.

No experience is necessary to join in, and you can be part of growing food, making and using compost, and caring for the local environment. Find out more at Volunteer

We also run seasonal Grow Workshops on various topics for anyone interested in learning more. Check out our Upcoming Events.

We also love to do school visits (your place or ours) and share our knowledge with our gardeners of the future.

When you get the hang of it, growing your own food can be mightily rewarding. Sometimes overwhelmingly so. Coping with the daily abundance of runner beans, heirloom tomatoes and alligator-sized marrows may have you scratching your head and adding a kunekune to your watchlist. Luckily for you, (not so much the kunekune) we run seasonal food making workshops with food-to-table experts & enthusiasts of all kinds, who can inspire the transformation of your harvests into all manner of delicious feasts, sauces, pickles and preserves.
