Friday – Sunday 10am-4pm
The EcoMatters Bike Hub @ Henderson is located just off the Henderson Creek shared path at the Falls Restaurant and Cafe carpark, 14 Edmonton Road.
The hub provides assistance with learning basic bike maintenance skills, like how to inflate tyres and repair punctures, configure your bike for optimal riding comfort, tune and adjust your brakes and gears, and how to maintain your chain. We are also rescuing bikes from the waste stream, giving them a new lease of life and recycling them back into the community at low or no cost.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
- Free access to tools and advice on basic bike maintenance
- Used bikes for sale and loan
- Used and new bike parts and accessories
- Safe cycling advice and guidance
- Free cycling maps, including our Flat White Ride
You’re welcome to bring your bike in and ask one of our staff for guidance. If you don’t have a bike yet, we can loan you a bike or help you refurbish a recovered bike.
We don’t offer a certified bike mechanical repair service where you drop your bike off to be repaired. There are great local bike shops that provide this service. Our aim is to work alongside you to develop your skills and knowledge so that you can freely enjoy the benefits of cycling.
BIKE DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS
We happily receive donated bikes and parts in reasonable condition that we restore and sell at a low cost to help keep us going.
We also welcome volunteers. Get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in volunteering with the EcoMatters Bike Hub.
