SUMMARY:Matariki Planting at Te Kōtuitanga
DESCRIPTION:Come along for a community planting along the Waitahurangi Awa at Te Kōtuitanga (Olympic Park)\, New Lynn. This year\, we celebrate Matariki through the theme Matariki herenga waka – a time to come together as a community\, honouring our shared connections to place\, people\, and the environment. \nAs we plant along the awa\, we reflect on Matariki as a time of renewal – remembering the past\, celebrating the present\, and preparing for the year ahead. Please wear sturdy closed-toe footwear\, ideally gumboots. \nMeet at EcoMatters Environment Trust\, 1 Olympic Place\, New Lynn. \nHosted by EcoMatters Environment Trust. For further info\, contact pamela@ecomatters.org.nz \nNgā mihi to Whau Local Board for their support.
