Borrow a Merida ebike
Before you book an ebike, please note:
- Merida ebikes can be picked up from our Bike Hubs in Queens Wharf, Glen Innes, New Lynn and Grey Lynn, so make sure you select one of these locations in the date picker below.
- Your booking will be for a Saturday, but you can choose whether to pick up on that Saturday or the next day Sunday, between 10am and 1.30pm.
- Ebikes must be dropped back two weeks later (either Saturday or Sunday) at the same location, between 10am and 1.30pm.
- A lock and backpack will be provided with each Merida bike (as this bike is not suitable for pannier bags). When picking up the bike, you can choose to borrow a helmet.
- Please note that our Merida ebikes do not have lights or chainguards.
- Allow 30 minutes when you come to collect your ebike, we’ll show you how to use and look after the bike and watch you take a test ride.
- Our ebikes are too large to safely transport in or on the back of cars, so bikes must be ridden home or taken on the train.
How to make your booking
Click below to select the dates and location based on when and where you would like to pick up your ebike. Please note: you are only able to select a Saturday, but you can choose whether to pick up the bike on Saturday or Sunday.
Now choose the right size bike, and select Add to cart to reserve your ebike loan.
If the bike shows up as unavailable, please view the availability calendar by clicking “Check availability” to see when the bike will be available (look for a Saturday shown in green). Make sure the availability calendar is showing the correct location.
Once you have found an available date, you have to go back to the datepicker above to select the date you have found in the availability calendar.
