About this Event

We’re going on a trash hunt! Bring your sharp eyes and a sense of adventure, and join us on a search for rubbish at the Rewarewa Stream which flows to the Whau River. We’ll clean up the awa and leave it sparkling, so it can be enjoyed by our New Lynn and Avondale whānau and friends. The rubbish we pick up will contribute to scientific research about what ends up in our streams.

Meet at the bridge at the corner of Hugh Brown Drive and McNaughton Way. Kids welcome and must be accompanied for an adult – best suited for ages 8 and up. Please wear sturdy footwear, comfortable clothes and sunscreen, and bring your vaccine pass and mask. RSVPs essential to [email protected]. Brought to you by EcoMatters and supported by the Whau Local Board.

Whānau friendly
Accessible by bus, train
