About this Event

Join us on our annual hīkoi pekapeka in Te Waonui a Tiriwa (the Waitākere Ranges). Your hosts will be expert of the ngāhere (forest) ranger Riki Bennett (Ngāti Pikiao, Te Arawa; Ngāti Porou) and Sophie Barclay, bat educator. Listen as relax as well talk about pekapeka, pūrakau and the ngahere – while being soothed by taonga puoro (traditional māori musical instruments).
What to bring: Closed-toed shoes, long pants (mosquitoes!), a torch or head torch and a mask.
Brought to you by Community Waitākere.

Booking Required.
