About this Event

Nau mau, haere mai, come and join us.

Venture into the bush area at Glendene Reserve and join us for a morning of tracking down and busting pest plants by the Glendene Stream. No experience necessary for this guided experience. While we work to rescue this habitat from weedy infestations, EcoMatters’ passionate stream ranger will share what she knows about identifying natives and dealing with pest plants.

Local neighbour Neil will share his journey to involve others to care for this slice of paradise. We’ll also do some detective work together to see what we can find out about the health of the awa and the animals that live here.

Please wear sturdy footwear or gumboots, comfortable clothes and bring sunscreen/hats and/or raincoats as required. Best suited for ages eight and above, kids must be accompanied by adults please.

We’ll be meeting at the Barnfield Place entrance to Glendene Reserve.
