CALL FOR NEW TRUSTEES
EcoMatters Environment Trust is going through its next phase of growth and strategic change and we are looking for some new capable trustees to help us navigate this future and grow our impact.
The Trust is an environmentally focused community organisation based in West Auckland but with a regional programme of action. Incorporated in 2002, EcoMatters supports the community with knowledge and tools to restore nature, reduce waste, ride and fix bikes, and live more sustainably.
The organisation’s vision is a society where people’s deeper connection with the environment is restored while our mission is to work together with the community to restore the wellbeing (mauri) of our environment.
This opportunity would suit skilled individuals looking to share their expertise and networks to further the objectives of the Trust. We are particularly interested in people with skills in communications, legal structures, social and/or commercial enterprise. We encourage diversity within our organisation and we welcome people from all backgrounds to consider applying. While we welcome people with sector experience this is not a prerequisite for this governance role.
For more information, you can browse our website or find a copy of our annual report here
If you are interested in this opportunity we invite you to submit a one-page Expression of Interest telling us a bit about yourself and interest in EcoMatters. The deadline for all EOIs is 5pm, Friday 31 May 2019 and these can be sent to email@example.com.
If you have any queries about your suitability for this opportunity you are also invited to contact our Chair, Charlotte Moore, on 021 237 0023.
A position on the EcoMatters Board is a voluntary one. The Board meets once a month on every third Wednesday from 4pm until 6pm.
