Run in partnership with Auckland Council, Little Sprouts is a fund available to environmental education projects (such as edible gardening, composting, water reduction, tree planting and revegetation) in early-childhood education settings within the Henderson Massey or Waitakere Ranges Local Board catchment area.
Thanks to the support of the Henderson-Massey and Waitakere Ranges Local Boards, EcoMatters is calling for submissions for Little Sprouts funding for 2016. The funding is for projects that promote practical environmental education initiatives, e.g. edible gardens, composting, re-vegetation or waste reduction. Grant funding can be up to $500 in value and depends on the volume of applications received. Applications are invited from Early Childhood Education Centres in the Henderson-Massey and Waitakere Ranges local board areas.
Preference will be given to not-for-profit early childhood groups who are able to support their application with additional volunteer contributions towards the project. If applications are received from commercial childcare institutions, then match funding of up to 50% of the project materials costs will be considered.
Once your project is completed, please fill in our accountability report and upload photos of your project here. We will reimburse the agreed funding once we have received your receipts.
